Breakfast Club Host Charlamagne Tha God has issued an official apology to former NBA player Kwame Brown while crowing himself Donkey Of The Day for taking things a tad bit too far over the weekend!
On Monday’s aired episode of the morning radio show, Charlamagne kicked things off with a direct apology to Kwame in saying, “I’m sure I caused pain for not only Kwame Brown but for his family—‘specially, his family in my hometown of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. You know how I know? Because I spoke to a few of them.”
”I was apologizing for triggering them.”
Charlamagne goes on to explain that he had gotten in touch with friends from his native home of South Carolina and was urged to apologize for speaking publicly about Brown’s personal life.
Things kicked off when Brown’s name was brought up within a podcast associated with Charlamagne’s podcast network.
The radio personality had attempted to defend Brown however he brought up details of his family’s personal business. Charlamagne spoke on Brown’s father serving life in prison for allegedly beating his girlfriend with an axe handle and burying her alive. He also explained that the former NBA player’s brother had reportedly shot the mother of his child numerous times trying to kill himself as well as indicating that another one of Brown’s brothers is in jail for murder.
“I’m saying all that to say, leave Kwame alone. That man has been quiet for twenty years, he don’t bother nobody,” Charlamagne previously stated. “Clearly all that ‘he’s a bust up’ gets to him. You don’t know what people are going through or have been through.”
Brown responded to Charlamagne’s comments by taking a deep dive into his own scandals while bringing to light his sexual misconduct charges.
According to Complex Charlamagne had allegedly had his attorneys forward Cease and Desist orders to Kwame in regards to the Delinquency case.
