Congratulations are in order for recording artist and songwriter The Weeknd as he has officially tied with Janet Jackson for the number one spot on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart!

With his most recently released single Save Your Tears, The Weeknd has created history as the first male artist to ever have three chart topping singles from the same album in three consecutive calendar years, reads data from Official Charts.

Sources have confirmed that Save Your Tears pulled in 30.4 million US streams this past week. This single reigns as The Weeknd’s sixth US chart topper ranging between his hit singles The Hills, Can’t Feel My Face, Starboy, Heartless, and Binding Lights.

Janet Jackson also made Billboard history of her own with number 1 hits such as Miss You Much , Escapade, Black Cat and Love Will Never Do all from her Rhythm Nation album.

It has been indicated that a remix of The Weeknd’s hit single Save Your Tears with Arianna Grande helped him earn the number one spot.
