An Arizona man responsible for the horrific murder of a seventeen year old male for listening to rap music while in a local convenience store because it made him feel, “unsafe” was discovered dead within his jail cell!
Michael Adams was awaiting trial after stabbing 17 year old Elijah Al-Amin to death inside of a Circle K store located in Peoria in July, 2019 report News One.
Adams is said to have stabbed the teen in his neck before fleeing the scene. He informed officers that it was because of the music Elijah was listening to.
Sources have confirmed that Adams was found lifeless and unresponsive on April. 17th at the 4th Avenue Jail in Phoenix. An investigation is currently underway by the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office as his cause of death has yet to be determined.
“Adams stated rap music makes him feel unsafe, because in the past he has been attacked by people (Blacks, Hispanics, and Native American) who listen to rap music,” reads court documents.
“Adams further stated, people who listen to rap music are a threat to him and the community.
The records add that, “Adams felt he needed to be ‘proactive rather than reactive’ and protect himself and the community from the victim.”
It has been indicated by the Arizona Department of Corrections, that Adams had been released from prison in Yuma two days before he allegedly murdered Elijah.
Elijah’s parents have both released statementa following news of Adams death. “I miss my son on a daily basis,” says his dad Raheem Al-Amin, Elijah’s father. “I think about him every single day.
His mother, Serina Rides says, “It just immediately brought all the pain back, like a Band-Aid just ripped off. It doesn’t bring my son back.”
