Former officer Kim Potter has officially been arrested for the murder of Daunte Wright and charged with second degree manslaughter with no bail!

According to CNN Potter was arrested late Wednesday morning by agents within the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Reports read that she was booked into the Hennepin County Jail.

Potter has been charged with second degree manslaughter which is applied when authorities allege a person has caused someone’s death by, “culpable negligence whereby the person creates an unreasonable risk, and consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm to another.”

Sources have confirmed that the County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled Wright’s death a homicide.

Though officials are hinting at the incident being accidental, a news release from Orput’s office states otherwise.

It has been indicated that the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension examined Potter’s duty belt and discovered that her handgun is holstered on the right side of her belt, while the Taser is on the left side.

A criminal complaint has been cited that notes that the Taser is yellow with a black grip and is set in a straight-draw position, “meaning Potter would have to use her left hand to pull the Taser out of its holster.”

If convicted Potter could face up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of $20,000.
