Congratulations are in order for the cast and crew of the popular series Snowfall as they’ve officially been renewed for season 5 with the FX network!

The News was announced earlier this week as the show approaches its remaining few episodes of season 4, reports Deadline.

Snowfall serves as a crime drama originally created by the late John Singleton, Eric Amadionand Dave Andromeda.

The series reflects the crack era in South Central Los Angles during the late 80’s featuring a crew of dealers benefiting from the rise of addiction while also dealing with the after effects drugs play on society as a whole.

The series also shows the government officials side of things including the LAPD and their connection to the war on drugs while also diverting from the fact that officials are also playing a hand in the scheme of things.

The series stars Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Isaiah John, Sergio Peris-Menchwra, Amin Joseph and Angela Lewis.

Series four will officially wrap up on April 21st.
