Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson’s highly anticipated project, “ Black Mafia Family,” has newly added some heavy hitters to it’s roster of actors as Starz confirms La la Anthony, Snoop Dogg and Serayah have officially been casted!
BMF; is inspired by the true story of Southwest Detroit brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “ Southwest T” Flenory and their rise in status running one of the most successful drug trafficking operations in the United States during the late 80s.
According to Variety Snoop will play the role of Pastor Swift; a spiritual advisor to the Flenory family. His faith was initially intwined with the power of the lord, however he soon becomes heavily involved with the BMF operation.
It has been indicated that La la and Serayah have been casted as reoccurring guest stars; taking on the roles of Markaisha Taylor and Lori Walker. Taylor is the wife to a drug dealer the Flenory brothers ultimately befriend. Walker is Demetrius girlfriend that he shares a daughter with.
Sources have confirmed that filming officially began in January. 50 cent has been named an executive producer on the series alongside showrunner, producer and writer Randy Huggins. Terri Kopps, Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements are also executive producers including Tasha Smith that is also said to be directing multiple episodes.
Other confirmed cast members are Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Ajiona Alexus, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, Wood Harris and Arkeisha “Kash Doll” Knight. Including Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. set to playing the role of his father.
