Cousins!
It appears that the CBS daytime series ‘The Talk’ is undergoing a hiatus following a heated exchange involving co-host Sharon Osbourne defending friend and correspondent Piers Morgan upon claims of racism!
As we previously reported Sharon received immediate blacklash throughout social media for defending Piers comments made following the now viral Megan Markle and Prince Harry interview.
She then defended Piers within an explosive conversation between her and co-host Sheryl Underwood while on air.
As the heated exchange began to go viral and trend throughout multiple media outlets over the weekend, CBS confirmed in a forwarded statement that “The Talk” would be taking a break from the network as an internal investigation is underway, reports People.
Sharon shared an apology on social media on Friday in a series of tweets apologizing for offending anyone.
“I have always been embraced with so much love & support from the black community & I have deep respect & love for the black community,” reads the tweet .
“To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry. I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over.”
”There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast. I am not perfect, I am still learning like the rest of us & will continue to learn, listen and do better.”
