According to CNBC News, random customers will see a message flash across their screens prompting them to sign up for their own account if they are watching without the subscriber.

For years the super streaming service of Netflix has ignored password sharing between friends and families seeing how almost everyone shares their account information with their loved ones.

Sources have confirmed that Netflix is testing the new policy amongst hundreds of select customers within a year.

“This test is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so,” reads a statement from Netflix.

Reports read that roughly around 33% of all Netflix users share their account information with someone.
