Congratulations are in order y’all as Tyler Perry’s new original scripted series Sistas has officially been renewed for season three by BET !
The big news comes in just a week before the cast and crew gear up for their mid season premiere scheduled for Jan. 27th.
Sistas depicts the lives of four black women in their 30s journeys in life through friendships, relationships and careers while living in a modern day world.
The hour long series stars our girl KJ Smith , Mignon, Ebony Obsidian and Novi Brown alongside DeVale Ellis, Chido Nwokocha, Anthony Dalton II , Brian Jordan Jr. Kevin A. Walton, Trinity Whiteside and Crystal Hayslett.
According to Deadline, production for season 3 will officially begin towards the end of next month within Atlanta.
As we previously reported the cast and crew completed season two in a quarantine bubble within Tyler Perry’s Studios.
Reports read that Sistas had originally ranked number one for African Americans ages 18-49 in cable and broadcasting; as well as number one in new cable series for African Americans ages 24-54 within its very first season. The show has continued to rank high in its second season at number one for African Americans ages 18-49.
