Atlanta police officials are currently searching for the gunmen responsible for the senseless and fatal act that claimed the life of a beautiful 7 year old girl!
Kennedy Maxie was struck in the back of her head last week on December 26th as she rode in her aunt’s Nissan car past Phipps Plaza, reports 11alive .
Reports read that the Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed that Kennedy has passed away 5 days after the incident on Saturday, December 26th.
It has been indicated that as of right now no arrests have been made. Officials believe that Kennedy’s aunt’s car wasn’t the desired target. Atlanta police are currently offering $15,000 to anyone with information that can help identify the gunmen responsible.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has forwarded a statement on the incident saying that, “While the Atlanta Police Department has significant leads in the apprehension of those responsible, it does not erase the pain felt when a beautiful, vibrant, and loving child is tragically taken from her family.”
”We urge the public to continue to provide information that will lead to the arrests of the careless and heartless people responsible for Kennedy’s death.”
