The highly anticipated Cookie Lyon spinoff staring Fox Empire ‘s leading lady Taraji P Henson is currently being shopped to numerous networks!

According to Deadline Fox has decided to not move forward with production.

Their decision derives from reports that the success of Empire comes with an enormous budget to follow for a spinoff.

Sources have confirmed lack of ownership for Fox made it supposedly difficult for them to be onboard with the new series.

Since Fox Entertainment would not have any ownership over the spinoff at all, 20th TV and Imagine TV are currently in talks with other networks.

Reports read that Disney TV as well as ABC and Hulu are amongst the names of platforms they’re currently seeking to do business with.
