It has recently been announced that Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has declined to serve within the Biden Harris2020 administration cabinet!

Despite being one of the most influential government officials in the country and also being a previous Vice President nominee within the Biden ticket, Mayor Bottoms has turned down the overall opportunity.

“Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was honored to have been offered a role in the Cabinet, which she respectfully declined,” reads an official statement from Mayor Bottoms spokesperson.

“The Mayor’s focus remains on the people of Atlanta and the great state of Georgia. Out of respect for the process, and the other candidates under consideration, no additional comment will be forthcoming on this matter at this time.”

According to ABC News , there was no indication of what position Mayor Bottoms was offered within the Biden cabin. However the statement indicates that she was not offered ambassadorship.
