Lil Wayne has officially pleaded guilty to federal charges within illegal gun possession!

As we previously reported Wayne had been charged with criminal possession of a firearm and ammunition back in December 2019.

According to CNN, he was discovered with a loaded, gold-plated .45-caliber handgun within a bag while on a private plane.

Sources have confirmed that Wayne entered a plea deal on Friday afternoon in Miami, Florida federal court.

Reports read that Wayne’s legal team argues that the rapper did not use the firearm and is only being potentially charged because of his prior record.

“The charge is that because he was convicted of a felony in the past, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm,” says attorney Howard Srebnick said.
