The highly anticipated sequel Coming 2 America is currently within the process of being sold to Amazon Studios by its original production company of Paramount Pictures!
According to Variety there was a $125 million dollar deal on the table which is currently being sorted out.

Sources have confirmed that the final details consisting of the overall consumer market in ties with McDonalds and Crown Royal are set to be transferred to Amazon studios.

However it appears that the film’s lead actor and producer Eddie Murphy gets the final say so.

It has been indicated that Amazon Studio chief Jennifer Salke has expressed her eagerness to finalize the deal.

The film is amongst the list of numerous pushed back movie releases due to the theater shutdowns and the pandemic.

The original Coming to America film first debut in the late 80s era staring an elite cast of actors from Eddie, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos and more. To this day the film is considered an overall classic that sold approximately $300 million dollars in box office sales.

Reports read the film should be available for streaming on December 18th, 2020.
