Cousins!

Exciting news ; after nearly thirty years since its last go round Whoopi Goldberg has officially confirmed that the legendary musically driven film of Sister Act is currently in the works for its third installment!!

In a recent episode of The Late Late Show hosted by James Corden he asked Whoopi the pressing questions fans had been seeking answers to for years, why hasn’t Sister Act 3 happened yet?”

Within a virtual appearance Whoopi replied, “Because for a long time they kept saying no one wanted to see it.”

She goes on to say, “And then, quite recently, it turns out, that that may not be true. People might want to see it. So, we’re working diligently to try to figure out how to get the gang together and come back.”

The first Sister Act film originally debut in the early 90’s back in 1992 staring Whoopi which explores the life of a rising singer that witnesses a murder and has to quickly adjust as she hides out within a witness protection program as a nun.

The film was followed up shortly with Sister Act 2 in 1993 also staring Goldberg of course alongside Kathy Najimy, Lauryn Hill and Maggie Smith.
