Atlanta, Georgia officials have began to forward details of the horrific murder of beloved long time actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd!

As we previously reported legendary actor Spike Lee took to social media on Sunday to announce the death of Byrd by also noting that he was killed in Atlanta on Saturday.

According to the Denver Channel Press, Byrd was shot multiple times in his back within the south westside city area of Atlanta. The 70 year old actor was pronounced dead on the scene.

There has been no further details pertaining to if officials have the person or persons responsible for Byrd’s death in custody at this time.
