It’s officially the month of October which means we are slowly closing in on the Halloween season. To help us kickoff the spooky season Paramount Pictures have debut the official trailer to their new horror thriller film, SPELL!!

SPELL staring Omari Hardwick and Loretta Devine, explores the life of a businessman traveling to his father’s funeral with his family when they undergo a life altering accident.

After awakening from a deep unconscious sleep the main character played by Hardwick finds himself trapped in the attic of Devine’s character’s home.

She apparently nurses him back to health following his injuries with the help of a spiritual figure consisting of Omari’s blood and skin.

After catching wind of her dark magic Hardwick’s character attempts to escape on numerous tries while piecing together his families whereabouts but falls short each time.

According to Black Girl Nerds , the film was written by Kurt Wimmer, directed by mike Tonderai and produced by Morris Chestnut, Gordon Gray, Janine van Assen and Brian Wilkins.

Sources have confirmed that SPELL will be available on video on demand, select digital platforms and theaters on October 30th.
