It appears that #GabrielleUnion and the NBC Network have reached settlement within her forwarded suit for harassment and discrimination!
As we previously reported Union called out the network on allegations of obtaining a toxic work culture including racism and discrimination.
According to CBS News her contract as a judge for America’s Got Talent wasn’t renewed for the following season with no details forwarded.
Sources have confirmed that Union had filed a complaint to California Department of Fair Employment and Housing this summer. Union states she was fired unfairly due to her physical appearance as a Black woman.
“We took Ms. Union’s concerns seriously, and engaged an outside investigator who found an overarching culture of diversity on the show. NBCUniversal remains committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds are treated with respects,” read the networks initial response back in June.
It has been indicated that both parties have reached a settlement with no accompanying details issued.
“We’ve reached an amicable resolution,” reads a joint statement from Union and the network. “NBC Entertainment appreciates the important concerns raised by Gabrielle Union and remains committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds can be treated with respect.”
