The Black–ish brand is leveling up once again with the official announcement of a spinoff staring legendary actors Laurence Fishburne and Jenifer Lewis !
“ Old-ish “ written by Black-ish originator Kenya Barris is set to depict the life of Andre Johnson’s ( played by AnthonyAnderson ) parents Ruby and Earl ( played by Lewis and Fishburne) life after giving their love for one another a second go round, reports Deadline .
Reports read that the remarried couple moves out of their son’s house with his family and venture out to a suburban home of their own where they’ll meet some new and very familiar faces within a recently gentrified neighborhood.
Sources have confirmed that ABC will remain the signature studio for production, Barris alongside Fishburne Helen Sugland, Brian Dobbins and Anthony Anderson will executive produce the series. It has been noted that Lewis will also add producer to her title as well.
Old-ish will also air on the Freeform network along with Black-ish ‘s first original spinoff Grown-ish!
