Absolutely disturbing police body cam footage has been released showing local police officials holding a Black man to the ground with his entire face and head covered until he suffocates to death!
On March 23rd, 2020 #DanielPrude underwent a mental health breakdown causing his brother to contact Rochester, New York officials for assistance reports CNN .
Local officers respond to the call and arrive on the scene around 3:16 AM to discover a naked Daniel in the street. Within the video he is asked to get on the ground and place his hands behind his back as an officer points a taser at him. Daniel complies and then additional officers arrive.
Shortly after being handcuffed an unidentified Officer is seen placing a spit sock placed over Daniel’s head which is reportedly used to keep a person from spitting or biting. Sources have confirmed that Daniel had stopped breathing as officers knelt on him and covered his head. He attempted to stand but was restrained by the officers.
Reports read that Daniel was taken to the hospital 15 minutes later after he stopped breathing and was confirmed as brain dead upon arrival.
A Monroe County Medical examiner ruled his death a homicide within an autopsy report forwarded to Daniel’s family. The report read cause of death directed from complications of asphyxia within a form of physical restraint.
Joe refers to his brother’s death as cold-blooded murder to a defenseless Black man. Daniel’s family is currently filing a public death suit and state they haven’t spoken publicly prior to the body cam release because they had only recently saw the footage themselves.
