The horrific 2018 BART Station murder has officially reached a much awaited verdict, recently announcing life in prison for 29 year old #JohnLeeCowell !
According to Mercury News, Cowell was sentenced to life in prison on Friday without the possibility of parole.
As we previously reported the incident took place almost two years ago as #NiaWilson was traveling back home with her sisters on BART on their way to oak when they were attacked by Cowell. Nia was fatally stabbed in the neck and her sister Letfiah Wilson was stabbed also but survived.
“You stole my baby sister from her loving family because of your hatred toward black African-American women,” stated Letfiah during the final hearing.
While testifying Collwell stated that both Nia and Letfiah were aliens and had kidnapped his grandmother.
Cowell was originally convicted of first degree murder for Nia and attempted murder of Letifah. He had very few words following his sentencing and was overheard speaking of an appeal.
Nia is remembered as being a a beautiful young lady with a bright future ahead of her. She was also set to graduate from high school in 2018!
