The Atlanta general himself Tip #TI Harris is set to combine his talents of education and music within the classroom of Clark Atlanta University, to teach the official Business class of Trap music this fall!

Billboard reports that T.I will pair up with Hip Hop scholar Dr. Melva K. Williams to teach the innovative undergraduate course. Sources have confirmed that the class will blend together the history of Trap music and it’s rise within 21st century of music.

“I’m excited to share my experiences and whatever resources or information I have that can be an asset for the future,” states TI. “Drugs have existed for as long as humans have been on earth and music has existed for quite some time as well. The commonality that threads the two together is what makes trap music a dominant force in culture today.”

TI is often referred to as the originator of Trap Music, he states that he personally felt as if Atlanta as well as the rest of the world was missing a signature South sound.

“My intention was to take my lifestyle and turn that into a philosophical presentation of music, so other people going through similar experiences wouldn’t feel alone or alienated,”

He continues,”When we were coming up, the only artists coming from Atlanta was OutKast, Goodie Mob, and booty-shaking music. The first person to do it is always going to have the hardest time. After me, it was much easier for Jeezy and Gucci [Mane] to be accepted.”
