According to the #NewYorkPost; the show’s executive producer Warren Leight has recently confirmed that GeorgeFloyd’s death has to and will come up within the new batch of episodes.

“There are ways, we will find our way in to tell the story,” Leight states on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 5” podcast. “Presumably our cops will still be trying to do the right thing but it’s going to be harder for them and they’re going to understand why it’s hard for them.”

Leight also confirmed that he is currently looking to switch things up by adding new writers to help tell different stories.

Leight states that in the last year of production he has made sure to share stories that shed light on topics such class and race, and how it often affects the outcomes of justice in society.”
