It is with an extremely heavy heart that we inform you of the recent passing of the beloved #BonniePointer of the legendary singing group #ThePointerSisters!
According to TMZ; Bonnie’s sister Anita announced the tragic news earlier today noting that she had passed away this morning.
“It is with great sadness that I have to announce to the fans of The Pointer Sisters that my sister, Bonnie died this morning. Our family is devastated, on behalf of my siblings and I and the entire Pointer family, we ask for your prayers at this time,” says Anita to TMZ.
She continues, “Bonnie was my best friend and we talked every day, we never had a fight in our life, I already miss her and I will see her again one day.”
Bonnie will forever be remembered as an original member of the 1970’s grammy award winning group the Pointer Sisters and her successful solo career. Her hit single “ Heaven Must’ve Sent You.” remains a forever classic in the world of music to this day.
