Mayor #BillDeBlasio has recently announced despite rumored speculations, declining in #COVID19 related deaths and hospitalization rates the city of New York will not fully reopen until the month of September!
With over 180,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and approximately 20,00 related deaths. Mayor DeBlasio has advised within a Monday night news briefing that NYC may not be fully reopened until September reports the Daily Mail.
Sources have confirmed that the entire state is still on lockdown until May 15th with indication that the city must meet Governor Andrew Cuomo’s seven point requirement listing before it can potentially reopen.
It has been indicated that NYC currently adheres to three out of four criteria points including lacking of free hospital beds, and not enough people to keep record of how many people have come in contact with new COVID19 cases.
The Coronavirus is currently being identified as more deadlier than the flu however New Yorkers are rallying for society to go back to normal. With numerous claims that the city may have became immune and that only vulnerable city goers need to start at home.
As time progresses NYC still remains the highest ranked state within the country to obtain the most Coronavirus positively tested patients.
