30 Sexual Predators Arrested In Virginia For Attempting To Meet Up With Minors During Coronavirus Crisis!

The State of #Virginia has recently rounded up a total of 30 reportedly sexual predators who have been identified as working towards potential meetups and kidnapping of minors for sex, within operation “ COVID Crackdown.”

Fairfax County officials have arrested men and women from areas within Maryland, Washington D.C and Virginia ranging within ages from 20 to 74 years old reports Complex Magazine. It has been indicated that the gang of sexual pedophiles have been hit with a total of 68 felony charges in addition to the charges of solicitation of a minor and attempted indecent liberties.

“Our detectives have remained vigilant and they recognized the increased threat posed by online predators in recent weeks,” states Major Crimes Bureau Commander Major Ed O’Carroll.
He continues, “I commend their ability to adapt during this unprecedented public health pandemic and to do so in the interest of protecting our children and bringing justice to those who commit these repugnant crimes.”

Reports from officials have indicated that the statewide order of social distancing and school closures have inadvertently lead to an increase in pedophile online activity. Fairfax County Police have advised parents to monitor their children’s online activity closely at this time,

COVID Crackdown has been identified as being a sting operation utilized to help officers catch sexual predators online working towards soliciting children. The police officers go under cover as children to rail the predator in with conversation, a location is then agreed on for a meetup ultimately leading to the suspects being taken into custody.
