It is with an extremely heavy heart that we inform you of the recent passing of beloved #Bronx , #NewYork rapper #FredTheGodson !
Earlier this month On April 6th Fred took to his personal Instagram page to reveal that he had been diagnosed with COVID19, while asking for fans to pray for him at this time.
According to Source Magazine, Fred had initially experienced a 105 degree fever and was placed in intensive care. Where he was placed on a ventilator, for his main source of air supply.
Though it had recently been confirmed by his publicist that his heart and vitals had improved, he still remained within ICU. It had been indicated that his kidneys had began to fail and simply weren’t working.
Earlier this week his wife LeeAnn Jemmott came forward earlier this week to state, “It was just like — he’s gone and he’s gonna die, that’s it. I don’t even know how I felt, I just felt like I was going to die,” said Jemmott. “Now, instead of the ventilator supporting him 100%, it’s supporting him 70%. … We need him like he is our strength, he is our good vibes, our positivity. … Don’t just assume they are going to die. Because that’s all we are hearing is people dying, dying, dying. He’s winning, he’s winning.”
Fred was identified as being vulnerable of contracting the virus due to the fact that he suffered tremendously from asthma.
The news has spread throughout twitter with thousands of fans and hip hop celebrities paying their respects. However, no one from Fred’s family or his publicist has confirmed news of his death as of yet.
