According to TMZ DuBois passed away both peacefully and unexpectedly Monday night in her sleep. Sources have indicated that there has been no information forwarded to who exactly discovered DuBois body after she had passed the following night.
Reports read that the actor was in great health and hadn’t complained of any issues recently.
Dubois is a legendary actress with a career spanning from the 70’s era throughout the 2000’s. She is well known for her iconic role on the classic sitcom Good Times. She also is noted as being the original composer and singer of the 70’s sitcom theme song Moving On Up for “The Jefferson’s “
Dubois has appeared on Broadway, played the Grandmother on the Wayans Bros, won two Emmy awards for her voice work on the hilarious 90’s cartoon The Pj’s , and the list goes on.
Her surviving relatives are her 2 daughters and 1 son.
