Rapper #KodakBlack has recently been transferred from a low security prison in #Miami, to a federal prison located in Oklahoma amidst multiple allegations of foul play by his mother and high powered attorneys!
According to the Daily News, Kodak also known as Bill K. Kapri, 22 is currently serving out a sentence in prison for forwarding false information in order to purchase four high powered guns. Sources have confirmed that Kodak was officially listed as a FTK Oklahoma City inmate on Thursday afternoon. The federal prison is approximately 1,500 miles within difference from his original stay at the prison in Miami.
It has been indicated that Kodak’s mother Marcelene Simmons hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump to help her son seek fair and justified treatment. Kodak had took to his personal Instagram in December 2019 to call awareness to a deadly instance he was faced at the hands of fellow inmates and correctional officers. He stated that he was forwarded an unidentified substance that made him feel as if he was dying slowly and was ultimately denied medical treatment by prison’s officials.
His attorney’s fear that Kodak was transferred unexpectedly as a mechanism to cover up a bigger ordeal that they are attempting to keep under wraps.
“Right before I was going to meet with him, he was put on a bus to Kentucky. Was he intentionally moved so he couldn’t meet with his attorney?” states Crump within a tweet on Wednesday. Reports read that Crump and multiple parties from Kodak’s legal team have been unable to get in contact with him for weeks.
“My son is my heart,” Kodak’s mom Marcelene states on Wednesday at a press conference.
“I want to make sure my son (is) OK,” I want to make sure they don’t kill my son. If they kill my son, if my son dies, I’m gonna kill myself, too,” she concludes.
“His mother is demanding the truth from the federal Bureau of Prisons,” Crump states.
TMZ confirms that the rapper will be released in the summer of 2022!
