To this day #Flint , #Michigan residents continue to struggle with obtaining clean and fresh water. With little to no assistance from the government and an exceeding decline in children’s health; residents remain in dyer need of help!
Beloved television Judge Greg Mathis has recently committed the ultimate act of kindness. According to #TheGrio Mathis has successfully donated a total of 50,000 bottles of waters to schools within the city. He recently paired up multiple community leaders to discuss the poor water quality being dispensed throughout the school’s system.
It has been indicated that the water crisis has deeply effected the students behavior and learning ability. Northridge Academy, principal Latricia Brown has come forward to state there has been also been a spike in the number of students who need special attention in class. She states that students are facing more difficulties with learning since clean water became more limited; “cognitive impairment problems” and ADHD. She believes that “the inability to focus will set them back for generations.”
“I want them to come to our schools,” she states “I want them to see what this poison has done to our students. It’s nothing pretty.”
Judge Mathis a native Detroit resident states that his act of generosity comes from one of the last conversations he held with the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. He shared that she told him to never forget his roots!
