Jay Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation Gala Raises $ 6 Million Towards College Scholarship Funding!

The industries most elite were in attendance this past weekend within support of The Shawn Carter Foundation Gala!

Taking place in #Hollywood , Florida at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino #JayZ and friends were to able raise a total of $6 million dollars towards his college scholarship funding program, according to Complex Magazine.

Tyler Perry, Yo Gotti, DJ Khaled Meek Mill, Fabolous, Swizz Beats, and Fat Joe were in attendance; with a special Gala performance by the beautiful Alicia Keys.

Jay also hosted a decked out blackjack tournament. Sources have confirmed that the tournament consisted of Jay also hosted a decked out blackjack tournament. The tournament consisted of a $100,000 buy in for all players with a $500,000 jackpot for the winner to take home with the remainder of the proceeds being forwarded to the charity organization. Tech expert Marcelo Claure was named this year’s official winner.

The Shawn Carter Foundation was originally established in 2003 by both Jay and his mother Gloria Carter. The program helps assist low income students with studying abroad, scholarship funding, college tours- workshops and much more.
