A 21 year old Clark Atlanta University student has been reported missing; leaving her family in shambles as they search desperately for her!
According to #11Alive ; Alexis Crawford was last seen Wednesday Oct. 30th. Crawford’s family states that she has never been reported missing before, they fear for the worst at this moment.
“I just want you to come home and be safe,” cries Alexis sister and Clark Atlanta University student Alexandria Crawford. “Please prevent any evil that comes her way.”
Sources have confirmed that Alexis’s family came together Monday at the Atlanta Police Headquarters requesting for help from the public to help them find their loved one.
“This is a very difficult moment,” stated Reverend and Activist Markel Hutchins, on behalf of the family.
“Alexis is somebody that this family loves and cares for very much and they are praying for her return,” he said. “We are here to ask the people of Atlanta to come forward with help.”
Alexis is a current student at Clark Atlanta University and recent graduate of Clarke Central High. She was a resident of an off campus apartment while enrolled at school. It has been indicated that Alexis recently endured a traumatic incident. She had “recently experienced some things that no young woman should never have to experience,”explained Hutchins. Though details of the incident haven’t been forwarded; Police officials have stated that within a press release that the young girl underwent some difficult circumstances.
Reports read that Alexis’s unnamed roommate asked her to take her to the liquor store on the night of the 30th. She explained that the two went to the liquor store around 11:30PM and returned back to their place and went into their separate bedrooms around 12:30AM. The roommate informed police that Alexis was not in her room the following morning and that the front door of their apartment was locked when she woke up. It has been stated that Alexis’s cellphone, ID and debit card have gone missing also.
“We can’t stress that enough – everything is important at this time because we need to bring Ms. Crawford home to her family … that is our priority at this time,” stated Capt. Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel.
