Who remembers waking up bright and early on the weekends with a big bowl of cereal in hand, parked directly in front of the television for hours to watch all of their favorite cartoons? Saturday mornings were sacred in the #90s as some of the greatest animated series graced your tv screen for hours on in. Good times right?
According to #HyberBae ; the popular 90’s animated series Recess is being revamped to an all action packed movie. Sources have indicated that the film will be directed by Jerome Yoo, produced by Kent Donguines, and co-written by Zlatina Pacheva.
It has been stated that the film will depict the beloved characters from a new chapter in their lives. They will no longer be childlike elementary students, the film will show their lives as young adults.
The synopsis of the movie is : “Picture 10-year-old you sitting in front of the TV, watching TJ, Spinelli, Gretchen, Vince, Mikey, Gus, Randall, the Ashleys and the rest of the colourful cast at 3rd Street Elementary School getting up to their usual hijinks. You lay your head to rest that night and dream about being part of this group and then awake 20 years later and think: ‘Hey, I wonder what happened to the Recess gang when they went to high school?’ Well, YOU’RE WELCOME, because we’re here to answer that question for you!”
Reports read that the movie is currently in post production and is set to be released online for free in August.
