Justice has been served #Family! In the horrific #2014 murder of 17 year old #LaquanMcDonald , #Chicago Officer Jason Van Dyke has been found guilty!
Viral footage from the day in question shows Officer Van Dyke release a total of 16 bullets into McDonald. He has since declared that he not only stepped backwards due to fear of McDonald who was holding a knife but release those shots to stop him from harming him. All in which has been found to be false. Not only was he informed that force was unneeded, Dash cam visuals show Officer Van Dyke releasing fire six second within upon arrival as he actually walked towards McDonald.
According to #BBCNews ; Van Dyke has been charged with first degree murder and was found guilty on 16 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm. ( One count per shot fired ) He Know faces a minimum of 6 years behind bars with a maximum of 15 + years with possible probation.
A total of 3 officers were charged last year due to conspiracy and tampering of evidence.
