Whew—things are getting a little spooky for Nia Long!

The beloved actress is taking legal action after a woman she claims she doesn’t know allegedly crossed major boundaries and repeatedly showed up to her Los Angeles home under the belief that they are in a relationship.

According to reports from TMZ, Nia filed for a temporary restraining order on Monday, March 23, against a woman identified as Carrie McDonald. In court documents, Nia made it clear that this is not someone she has any personal connection to, describing the behavior as alarming and unwanted. She alleges that within the last two years, the woman has been sending her cards, flowers, and gifts, despite there being no relationship between them.

Things reportedly escalated over the weekend when the woman showed up to Nia’s home once again and rang her doorbell, this time leading to an arrest after Nia contacted police. The actress also detailed a prior incident in 2024, where the same woman allegedly came to her home late at night demanding she open the door. At that time, responding officers issued a strong warning, but the behavior didn’t stop.

Now, Nia is seeking protection not just for herself, but for her entire family, including her two children and her mother. However, a judge has denied the temporary restraining order for now, with a hearing scheduled for April to further address the situation.

Noir Nation, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
