Rep. Maxine Waters fired a blunt warning at President Trump, accusing him of abusing presidential power and undermining America’s democratic values!
In a statement on X, Waters acknowledged Trump as president but said his actions are redefining the Constitution, national values, and the role of the office.
“Trump, I understand that you think that you are now the acting President of Venezuela, but you are out of your mind. Everyone knows you have invaded Venezuela to steal their oil. And you want to annex Greenland to the United States because you and the billionaires who support you are trying to steal Greenland’s minerals”
She specifically condemned his threats to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota, accusing him of trying to provoke civil unrest and rule through fear. Waters warned Americans will not tolerate what she called “dictatorship goals” and ended her message with: “Stop your bullshit now.”
The comments come amid federal enforcement operations in Minneapolis following protests and violent encounters involving federal agents.
Local leaders and civil rights advocates have criticized the presence of federal troops, calling the tactics heavy-handed and escalating tensions. Waters’ statement reflects mounting Democratic concern over executive overreach and the militarized response to domestic protests.
