When it comes down to keeping a personal life under wraps while also juggling a career in the spotlight and motherhood; Ella Mai is the final boss!
In a recent interview with KISS XTRA, Ella Mai spoke candidly about motherhood and how her son with Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum has changed her life. Though she maintains a private personal life outside of music, Ella shared,“Couldn’t imagine my life, now that I have him, without him.”
When asked about her son’s future, whether he might pursue basketball or music, she revealed, “It’s giving a little bit of both right now. We might have a little singing hooper on our hands.”
She added that he can “definitely hold a little note.”
On balancing privacy and public life, Ella explained, “There are cameras everywhere, but if you’re intentional with the way that you move, it’s not that hard to not be seen.”
The 31-year-old singer is currently wrapping up her ‘Did You Miss Me’ tour while preparing for her next album, ‘Do You Still Love Me,’ set for release in 2026.
Ella shared that returning to work while navigating motherhood has been a meaningful shift. She reflected on her younger self, who was focused solely on her music career, putting thoughts of marriage and family aside:
“Even when it started to happen for me, I never saw past that. That was my end goal.”
She continued, “But now, to see this new journey, and to feel this new journey, and kinda have it coincide with what I’m doing now that I’m back at work, it’s incredible.”
