Akon Arrested In Georgia On Out-Of-County Warrant!

Noir Nation, Akon found himself in an unexpected situation this week after being arrested in Georgia on an out-of-county warrant!

According to TMZ, Akon was taken into custody where he spent several hours behind bars and was later released that evening.

Authorities state that the situation began when Akon’s Tesla triggered a camera alert connected to an active warrant out of Roswell, Georgia. Chamblee Police responded to the scene, where they located Akon standing near the vehicle. After running his license plate, officers confirmed the warrant was connected to a January 2023 incident after he failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing.

Akon was booked into DeKalb County jail, and then transferred to Roswell Police Department. He posted bail shortly and was released the same evening.

Police say Akon remained composed throughout the entire process and even acknowledged that he was already aware of the outstanding warrant. Despite the hiccup, officers noted there were no issues or confrontations as he was transported to the station.

As of now, details surrounding the original warrant haven’t been publicly disclosed, but Akon has since been released and has not made a statement regarding the incident.
