It’s the end of an era! After years of dominating Monday night TV with heart, hustle, and Black excellence, All American is officially coming to a close. The CW has announced that the hit drama will return for an eighth and final season, set to debut in 2026 with 13 final episodes.

The fan-favorite series, inspired by the life of NFL player Spencer Paysinger, first hit our screens in 2018 and has since become a cultural cornerstone. From tackling issues like race, grief, class, and mental health to shining a light on the real-life pressures young Black athletes face, All American didn’t just give us drama — it gave us truth.

Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll shared an emotional message following the announcement, thanking the cast, crew, and loyal fans for riding with the show through its historic run. “My heart is so filled with love and gratitude,” she said. “This show is a dream come true, and I’m excited to give it the send-off it deserves.”

Let’s not forget — All American also launched a successful spin-off, All American: Homecoming, which highlighted HBCU life and wrapped its own powerful story after three impactful seasons.

As the series prepares to take its final bow, fans can expect a season packed with emotional moments, powerful lessons, and a tribute to the legacy it’s leaving behind. Spencer, Coop, Olivia, and the whole crew aren’t done with us just yet!
