A source close to the Trump administration shares that they are currently negotiating a deal to save TikTok that’ll also allow China to maintain shared control of their algorithm tool!

The proposed agreement would be considered a joint partnership between China and a U.S company allowing them a minority ownership stake; reports ABC News.

Sources state that Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order on Friday that will extend the scheduled deadline set for April 5th. As we previously reported the Chinese-owned parent company ByyeDance is facing the possibility of being banned once more in the U.S if it’s not sold.

Major companies have raced to throw in their bid as potential buyers including Amazon, tech company AppLovin and Oracle.

As of Wednesday (April 2nd) Wednesday, Trump along with his senior administration officials considered multiple proposals. It’s unclear if a decision has been made on how to move forward.
