Details For Irv Gotti’s Funeral Service Revealed!

Noir Nation, following the saddening news of Irv Gotti’s tragic passing last week, his family has provided official details of his home-going service!

According to an Instagram post shared earlier this week, a private service for Irv’s family and close friends is scheduled for Tuesday February 18th.

“Please be advised that the funeral services for Irving “rv Gotti” Lorenzo will not take place on Tuesday, February 18th.”

“Instead, there will be a private service for family and close friends on Wednesday. Following the private service, a public procession will occur. Further details regarding the procession will be provided soon,” reads the family’s statement shared on social media.”

A funeral will also be held at a later date at the Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens, reports VIBE. The service is set to honor the Murder Inc. founder’s life and longstanding legacy in Hip Hop.

Sources state that his family is expecting the funeral to be heavily attended due to Irv’s decades worth of contributions to the music industry and overall influence. Reports read that the cathedral sanctuary is able to accommodate over 2,000 people.

As we previously reported, Irv passed away on Wednesday February 5th at 54 years old.

“Our dad was an incredible man, a true visionary who transformed the hip-hop industry and changed the game for artists and fans alike,”reads a joined statement from Irv’s family following his passing.

“His passion for music and dedication to his craft inspired many, and his contributions will continue to influence future generations.

“As we navigate this difficult time, we kindly ask for privacy while we grieve the loss of our dad, son, brother, uncle, and friend. We take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on through his music and the love he shared with all of us.

“Thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time.”

There has been no confirmed details regarding his cause of death at this time, though it has been indicated that he endured a longstanding battle with diabetes throughout the years.

Irv is also said to have also suffered from a stroke this year after undergoing a minor one in 2024.
