Soulja Boy had a mouthful to get off his chest after receiving backlash online for performing at the Crypto Ball celebration for Donald Trump!
‘The Crank That’ rapper argued that Trump wasn’t physically present and that the event was for Crypto currency holders. Soulja later admitted that he was 50/50 with performing due to his own feelings towards Trump, whoever he says he needed the money.
“Them ni**as they paid me a bag, ni***a” he screamed during an Instagram live video amongst fans.
“[Barack] Obama ain’t ever put no money in my pockets, ni**a. Kamala [Harris] ain’t never no money in my motherf**king pockets, ni**a. Trump put money in my pockets, ni**a… Did Kamala call my f**king phone? Did Obama call my motherf**king phone? Did any of y’all ni**as call my motherf**king phone?”
He continued, “F**k you mean, I do whatever the f**k I want. It wasn’t even a Trump event – Trump wasn’t even there. Y’all so worried about, ‘He performed: him, Snoop, and them.’ Kamala didn’t even win, ni**a. Y’all want me not to answer the phone on the motherf**king president? Y’all can suck my d**k and cancel me all day.”
Further in the Instagram live segment, Soulja admitted that he understood why fans were upset with his decision to perform and also explained that he initially had the same feelings of anger towards Trump.
” Half way I was like ‘f*** this n**** Trump.”
Soulja added, “Y’all mad man I get it. I ain’t gon lie I needed that money.—I needed that bag dawg.
However he ultimately decided to perform because he needed the money.
” It don’t matter how much money a n**** get bruh, he just need more money.”
