Noir Nation! The father of Jordan Neely has issued a civil suit against Daniel Penny for the fatal chokehold that claimed his son’s life!
According to The Guardian, Andre Zachary filed the suit on Wednesday, December 4th against the Marine veteran with the New York Supreme Court.
Obtained court documents issue details of Andre accusing Daniel of negligence, assault and battery, which led to the death of his 30-year-old son on 1 May 2023, while they rode an underground train.
The then 24 year old placed Jordan in a chokehold for approximately six minutes. Sources state that Jordan was homeless and began shouting at commuters.
“He was just threatening to kill people,” said Daniel in a new interview with Fox News as he explained his actions noting that he has no regrets. “I’m not a confrontational person.”
“The guilt I would’ve felt if someone did get hurt – if he did do what he was threatening to do – I would never be able to live with myself,” said Daniel. “I’ll take a million court appearances and people calling me names and people hating me just to keep one of those people from getting hurt or killed.”
As we previously reported, Jordan’s family gathered outside a New York City courthouse following a not-guilty verdict regarding the tragic 2023 subway incident
Andre shared his reaction to the issued verdict as he expressed his hurt. “I just want to say, I miss my son, my son didn’t have to go through this, I didn’t have to go through this either, it hurts, really really hurts, what are we going to do people? What’s going to happen to us now?”
