Martin Lawrence Reveals That Eddie Murphy Says He Has To Pay For Their Children’s Wedding!

Legendary comedians Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence have come to a mutual decision regarding their kid’s wedding as to who will be footing the bill for their big day!

In a recently aired interview with Martin on iHeartRadio’s ‘Big Boy’s Radio, show’ Martin shared that Eddie is making him cough up the big bucks for their kid’s wedding. Martin explained that Eddie has already had to cut the check for over five of his other children’s weddings in previous years.

“Well, Eddie said I gotta pay for it,” said Martin on Thursday December 5th. “He said I gotta pay for it ’cause he paid for his last daughter’s wedding, like the last six weddings.”

“He said it’s my turn now,” Martin joked.

As we previously reported Martin’s daughter Jasmin and Eddie’s son Eric have taken their relationship to a new level with the announcement of their engagement back in November. The couple took to social media during Thanksgiving weekend to share the announcement with photos and video clips of Eric on bended knee.

Photos included a dim lighted room decked out with gorgeous roses and candles as Eric asked Jasmin to marry him.

According to PEOPLE, Eddie is the father of ten children with a total of six daughters and four sons.

Eddie and his current wife, Paige Butcher, share a daughter Izzy Oona, 8, and son Max Charles, 6. He also fathered eight other children, including five with his ex-wife, Nicole Murphy — son Myles, 32, and daughters Bria, 35, Shayne, 30, Zola, 24, and Bella, 22.

Eddie shares sons Eric, 35, and Christian, 34, with former partners Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood. Eddie also has a daughter named Angel, 17, with former girlfriend and Spice Girls group member Mel B.

Martin has three daughters. Him and his first wife Patricia Southall share his eldest daughter Jasmin, 28 together. His two youngest daughters Iyana, 24 and Amara, 22 are from his second marriage to Shamika Gibbs.

During the radio interview, Big Boy joked as he stated that Eddie’s other children’s weddings have nothing to do with him. Martin lovingly responded that he doesn’t mind and is happy to pay for the wedding.

He confirmed that the couple does not have a wedding date at this time.
