Katt Williams is ending a monumental year in his career with another boss move following news that the beloved comedian has purchased a former military base to launch a movie studio!
According to reports from AL News, Katt’s publicist Amy Sisoyev confirmed the news in an email on Thursday, November 21st. “ I can’t disclose the amount or exact location just yet, but I can confirm that he has purchased a former military base in Alabama.
In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Katt revealed that he purchased a former military base earlier this year. He had expressed his ambitions of becoming a movie mogul similar to Tyler Perry. “It’s just not fair to put all that pressure on Tyler Perry,” said Katt. “He can only do so much.”
Sources state that the Fort McClellan Cold War-era barracks located in Anniston had been up for sale with a $1.5 million asking price. The Barracks and the surrounding property also known as the ‘Starships’ consist of 30 concrete buildings ranging approximately three million square feet of indoor space.
Reports read that all 10 barracks are layered with 20 rooms each, along with two large gymnasiums and 90 acres of usable flat land.
