Noir Nation, Chicago rapper Lil Durk is currently trending throughout social media following news of his arrest for his alleged involvement in a murder-for-hire scheme!
According to obtained court records by XXL, the 32-year-old is currently being held without bond at Broward County Jail pending transfer of custody to U.S. Marshals.
Reports read that Durk was arrested just hours after five fellow Chicago natives and alleged OTF affiliates were apprehended and charged with murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire conspiracy in connection to the 2022 murder of Quando Rondo’s 24-year-old cousin Saviay’a Robinson in Los Angeles.
It has been indicated that all five men are known associates with connections to Durk within his ‘Only The Family’ (OTF) collective, reports the Chicago Tribune. Prosecutors have issued claims that various expenses were paid for the five men with a credit card tied to Durk’s label including flights and rental cars.
It has been indicated that an unnamed member of OTF, “allegedly offered lucrative music opportunities to anyone who would kill Quando Rondo.”
Court documents read that Quando Rondo and members of his team were in Los Angeles when a car he and his cousin occupied was shot at. The incident occurred at a gas station in the Beverly Grove neighborhood. Reports read that Quando obtained no injuries but his cousin was hit and later died due to the severity of his wounds.
Officials state that the shooting was in retaliation to fellow rapper and protege of Durk’s King Von.
Von was shot and kicked in 2020 following a fight outside of a lounge in Atlanta. It has long been rumored that Rondo was targeted for his alleged connection to Von’s death.
