Tia Mowry Speaks On Previously Choosing To Hide The Reality Of Her Marriage To Cory Hardrict From The Public, “I Got Tired Of Showing Up To Events And People Thinking Everything Was Perfect And It Wasn’t”

Tia Mowry is opening up about the realities of her previous marriage to Cory Hardrict as she expresses finally being able to live in her truth!

In the debut episode of her WeTv reality show ‘Tia Mowry; My Next Act’ the 46 year old spoke on not being authentic and feeling the constant need to live up to the persona of a picture perfect image when behind closed doors she ultimately felt alone. “I got tired of not being authentic and living in my truth.”

In the October 4th aired episode Tia spoke candidly amongst friends as she reflected on dark times in her marriage and instances that led to her choosing to divorce Cory. “I got tired of showing up at events and people thinking that everything was perfect when it wasn’t. I would go home and feel alone.”

“My persona as a celebrity is kind of like the ‘girl next door,’ the white picket fence,” said Tia during a confessional interview within the aired episode. “But what I didn’t show was the reality of what was really going on in my marriage. Maybe I was trying to live a fantasy.”

While appearing on TODAY with Hoda and Jenna, Tia spoke transparently about her healing journey and overcoming feelings of loneliness and codependency following her divorce.

Tia shared that at this point in her life, she is recognizing the difference between being alone and feeling solitude. She explained that being born a twin and having a long-term relationship which evolved into a fourteen-year marriage left her with always having someone to lean on.

The 46-year-old expressed that she is now taking the time to get to know her true self.
