Authorities Identify 14 Year Old Gunman In Tragic Georgia School Shooting: Officials State He Will Face Adult Murder Charges!

Cousins! As officials continue to investigate the gruesome mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia today, it has been determined that two students and two teachers have tragically lost their lives!

During a news conference held earlier this evening, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey confirmed the gunman to be 14-year-old Apalachee student Colt Gray. He states that the teen will remain in custody and will also face adult murder charges.

As we previously reported the shooting occurred Wednesday morning around 10:20 AM. According to Hosey a school resource officer confronted Gray and he surrendered immediately.

Four people have been determined as deceased including two students and two teachers. Nine individuals are currently hospitalized due to injuries from gunshot wounds. Sources state that at least two of the victims had to be lifted by air to receive medical care.

A junior at Apalachee High School, Lyela Sayarath recalled to CNN reporters that sitting next to, 14 just moments before the massacre.

She says that Gray left the classroom at the beginning of their Algebra I class in the morning and knocked on the door to be let back in.

Sayarath says that the door automatically locked behind him.

“I guess he saw we weren’t going to let him in,” Sayarath told CNN. “And I guess the classroom next to me, their door was open so I think he just started shooting in the classroom.”

The 16-year-old says that a girl went to open the door for him but jumped back after seeing him a firearm. Sayarath says that the students hid underneath their desks as gunshots began to ring out.

“When we heard it, most people just dropped to the floor and like kind of crawled in an area, like, piled on top of each other.”



CNN reports that an additional thirty individuals have been affected by the tragic turn of events.
