In a private NYC screening of his new film ‘1992,’ Tyrese revealed to attendees that no one in Hollywood wanted to help him get the movie out. Despite his extensive resume in box office films, Tyrese says that no one in the entertainment industry assisted him in pushing the movie.

However, the lack of help only motivated him to turn his drive up as he worked even harder for the movie’s release. “When I attach my name to a movie, it happens”

1992 is executive produced by Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg and directed by Ariel Vroman.

Tyrese stars in the film as a father working tirelessly to rebuild a relationship with his son during a chaotic time in their hometown. The movie takes place in Los Angeles during the early 1990s era following the Rodney King verdict.
