Cousins, T.I. found himself in an unexpected jam over the weekend as he was arrested in an Atlanta airport in a case of mistaken identity!
According to TMZ, the incident occurred on Sunday night at Atlanta’s Hatfield-Jackson Airport. Reports read that that a man with the same government name as T.I., Clifford Harris had a warrant out for his arrest.
However it has been stated that the wanted Clifford’s description included a weight of 205 pounds as opposed to T.I. who is of a smaller frame, weighing around 165 pounds.
The man wanted for arrest was being sought in Baltimore, Maryland for allegedly stalking a woman and displaying violent behavior towards her with the possible use of a firearm.
T.I. was put under arrest and transported from the airport to Clayton County Jail. It has been stated that since the warrant was out of state, the arrest automatically triggered an extradition hearing.
Thankfully T.I’s lawyer Steve Sadow got him released expeditiously, in just two hours following the arrest. Steve tells TMZ that a judge has reviewed and dismissed the extradition order as well.
The rapper has not publicly addressed the arrest at this time.
